We are looking for a Senior Brand Strategist with experience distilling information into clear and compelling strategic direction.

This position can function remotely with occasional travel for team or client meetings.  

What You’ll Do: 

  • Developing brand architecture, positioning, strategy and messaging frameworks; championing the strategy from inception through execution of creative work
  • Drafting creative briefs, strategic POVs and presentations
  • Understanding clients' business, target audiences and factors relevant to the brand's growth
  • Analyzing research, data and trends, and synthesizing into insights and strategic direction 
  • Creating comprehensive, competitive reviews and situational analyses
  • Briefing and collaborating with teams across creative and communications planning
  • Leading client-facing  ideation and brainstorming sessions, with support
  • Staying up to date on consumer research, market trends and industry news, and sharing findings with teams and clients

What We’re Looking For:

  • 4 years of experience in a strategic role; agency experience required
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving mindset; also comfortable in ambiguity and able to form strategic hypotheses with minimal but sufficient information
  • Strong research skills and some experience with:
    • Desk research: sourcing and applying secondary research such as reports, statistics and articles to develop creative strategies
    • Research design: writing survey questionnaires and/or interview discussion guides; determining appropriate methodologies to meet objectives
    • Syndicated research: experience with social listening tools a plus, but not required
  • Exceptional writing skills, with a command of nuance and artful editing with brevity
  • Clear and precise communicator, curious and receptive listener
  • Strong presentation skills 
  • Generalist collaborator who can work well alongside creatives, public relations, social media strategists and communications planners
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present and support viewpoints with sound rationale—balancing the confidence to voice informed perspectives with the humility to reconsider when wrong.
